Our main PIC (Pilot In Command) is Rob Hodges

Rob holds an Airman Certificate as a Remote Pilot rated for small unmanned aircraft systems (the FAA’s term for drones).  He has been flying the 3DR Solo for over a year now, first under Public Law 112-95, Section 336 (Hobbyist) rules and now under 14 CFR Part 107 (Commercial) rules. Rob retired from Government Service after 36 years as an Engineering Supervisor for the US NAVY, with extensive experience in machinery ranging from Gas Turbines all the way to Cranes.  He has extensive experience with risk management and maintaining high safety margins. He holds a BS in Physics, a Master of Applied Mechanics, and an MBA.
